Early identification of infants & children who have developmental delays or disorders is key. There are various developmental screening tools used to meet program requirements. We developed this training module as a result of requests from our eLearning community. The ASQ-3 & ASQ: SE-2 are commonly used throughout the early education field.

Requirements
State Programs: CCTR, CSPP, CMIG, CHAN, CFCC
Program includes identification of the child or family health & social service needs & makes referrals to appropriate agencies for services.The program does follow-up to ensure that identified needs have been met.
Head Start Programs:
Program must complete or obtain a current developmental screening to identify concerns regarding a child’s developmental, behavioral, motor, language, social, cognitive & emotional skills within 45 calendar days of when the child first attends the program or, for the home-based program option, receives a home visit. A program that operates for 90 days or less must complete or obtain a current developmental screening within 30 calendar days of when the child first attends the program.
